Personality: Fraez is calm and approachable. He often looks at various situations and easily assesses them without being influenced by emotions or any bias. He is always smiling, having found it easy to find the positive spin on any situation thanks to his upbringing and enjoys leaving his optimism on others.

He is sweet and kind, going out of his way to try to help others as well as keeping them company, even if they may be complete strangers. He enjoys giving his loved ones presents and words of praise extensively but is easily flustered when kind words are directed at him.

However, despite this overly sweet personality, he does tend to have a rather nasty 'sour streak' that can leave him in slightly sticky situations. Pardon the pun. He was born with this sour streak, just having built up after years of being raised how his parents wished him to grow up as. He will occasionally snap and will become more cunning and use his sweet words for a different purpose. It isn't like a split personality as Fraez is 100% aware of what he is saying and doing, he just needs an output from the stress he may be going under.

His stress levels can be measured by how long the yellow parts of his hair grow.

History: When Fraez was younger, his parents, though both royalty in Licorice Town, often stayed and lived in Caramel Castle. This was mostly because of the whims that his mother would come up with. Whether it was that she needed new fabric or wanted a certain type of food or even the fact that she wanted a change of scenery; Fraez's father would follow her every request which lead to their small family into staying there most times.

Both his mother and father were dreadfully competitive despite being in love. It was a wonder that they could really get along well together, but they did and they got married and had Fraez. And despite him being raised with the best of the best, his parents were more than just slightly imposing.

Even if they were royalty, his mother had studied extensively when she was young to become a seamstress and his father was the same with becoming a knight. But because of this, Fraez was pressured by both parents to either become one or the other. Day after day would be drills or sewing projects that he would have to finish in a certain time period.

As a young boy, this obviously isn't supposed to be normal. Such pressing at such a young person would lead to practically nothing. Fraez caught on quickly, as he did with most things but it wasn't enough and his body couldn't keep up with him. His fingers were repeatedly bandaged because of the pain from stabbing himself with needles or from just holding a piece of fabric and a needle in the same position for hours at a time. And at the same time, his whole body would be battered from when he had to practice sword play or archery.

His parents were merciless and strove to beat the other in Fraez's abilities. Because of this, he developed a very competitive nature. He's generally laid back and calm but when faced with a competition of some sort, he cannot help himself. He will end at nothing to try and come out on top as such, his sour streak will usually also appear because of this.

After a few years of this grueling training, Fraez finally snapped, his sour streak almost overriding his normal sweet personality and his parents finally realized what they were doing to him. They began to give him independence for what he wanted, instead training him to be the perfect diplomat to represent Licorice Town.

He was always understanding and always smiling. But instead of a forced smile, Fraez began finding the happiness and small joys in everything and his smile became genuine.
This smile would end up helping him in certain situations. Especially when he has his momentary sour streak moments. But thanks to this introduction into diplomacy, Fraez began to become interested in the Intelligence position within Licorice Town.

When Fraez busied himself with this, his parents, tension still high over dueling through Fraez after so many years began floating apart. Time passed and soon Fraez's mother was solely living in Caramel Castle and his Father had moved back to Licorice Town to help Fraez with running their kingdom.

His mother died one trip Fraez made to go visit her and despite it all, she told him that she was proud of him and whatever decisions he made.

Because of this, Fraez brought into light the fact that he had been visiting the local orphanage and playing with the younger children. He had met a younger girl who struck him as awfully familiar and promised her that he would get her out of there so they could become family when he gained enough power in Licorice Town. He thinks of her as his little sister, not knowing that they are actually blood related cousins.

Up until this point, he was simply working in the background, gaining information from his travelling and using his sour streak moments for Intelligence work until his father stepped down and gave Fraez the position as a Leader.

Additional Info:

Fraez is adverse to touch. He dislikes being manipulated because of the memories of his parents training him; always correcting him to the point of pain.

Makes friends quite easily but has only a few people that he may call true friends.

Is a sweet-talker. That's how he wheedles information out of people.
